WHAT TO EXPECT

If you’re staying in Dumaguete, you will be picked up at your accommodation or preferred pick-up location. You will then be dropped off at Sibulan Seaport, where you will take a 20-minute fast craft to Liloan Port. Upon arrival, a van will be waiting to transfer you to Oslob.

Upon arriving at the Oslob Whale Shark Watching Area, you will be directed to attend a briefing session. After completing the briefing, you will wait for your priority number to appear on the screen.

If your number is called, you may now follow the guide to the boat area. Please note that you will be sharing the paddle boat with 8–12 other tourists. The whale shark encounter will last for 30 minutes. After the encounter, you will have time to shower and change clothes before heading back to the van and proceed to your next destination which is the Badian Canyoneering & Kawasan Falls.

Once you arrive at the MCM Shop, you will have lunch and be introduced to your assigned canyoneering guides, who will accompany you from the starting point to the endpoint of the canyoneering adventure. Once you are done with the 3-4 hours of canyoneering, the van will transfer you to the port. From there, you will board the available fast craft to Sibulan Port. Upon arrival at Sibulan Port, a tricycle or van will pick you up and transfer you to your accommodation within Dumaguete City.

TOUR TIPS

Wear Comfortable, quick-dry clothing, water shoes, and a swimsuit are recommended.
Bring a waterproof bag for valuables, sunscreen, and a hat.
Bring a water bottle and drink plenty of water before and during the activity.
Ensure you're fit to swim, hike, and jump; inform the guide of any health concerns.
Follow the guide's instructions and avoid littering.
Trust your guide and enjoy the breathtaking scenery safely.

ACTIVITY POLICY

Canyoneering requires good health; those with heart conditions or injuries should not participate.
Recommended for ages 10 and above; children under 10 are not allowed.
Helmets, life vests, and safety harnesses are mandatory and provided.
Always follow your certified guide’s instructions for safety.
Alcohol or drugs are not permitted before or during the activity.
The activity may be canceled or rescheduled in bad weather for safety.
Participants acknowledge the risks and release Island Diaries from liability.
Be considerate of local customs and communities during the tour.
Arrive on time to ensure you don't miss the tour or cause delays.
