Schedule may change depending on the number of tourists visiting the whale sharks.
Sumilon island sand bar – Closed every 3rd Wednesday of the month for clean-up.

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will be picked up from you accommodation within Cebu City or any preferred pick up location.

Once you arrive at the Oslob Whaleshark Watching Area, you will be asked to go to the briefing session. One you are done with the briefing, you will wait for your priority number to be displayed on the screen.

If your number will be called, you can now follow the guide to the boat area. The whales shark encounter is 30 minutes. After the encounter, you will have enough time to shower and change clothes before heading back to the van and proceed to your next destination which is the Sumilon Sandbar, Baluarte in Oslob and Osmena Peak.

Sumilon Island, located off the coast of Oslob in Cebu, is a picturesque getaway known for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and vibrant marine life, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and diving. Baluarte Oslob, a historical watchtower, offers panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and serves as a reminder of the town's rich past. Meanwhile, Osmeña Peak, the highest point on Cebu Island, boasts breathtaking views of jagged mountain ridges and the Cebu Strait, attracting hikers and nature lovers with its cool climate and scenic landscapes. Together, these destinations showcase the natural beauty and cultural history of Oslob.

After the tour, the van will transfer you back to Cebu City or any preferred drop off location.

TOUR TIPS

Wearing of sunscreen is not allowed when swimming with the Whale sharks
Must bring towels and extra clothes to the trip, wear proper footwear (slippers or aqua shoes)
Bring underwater camera if available
Bring enough cash in Philippine peso currency, some of the food establishments allow credit card but souvenirs and other merchandise accepts cash only
Bring your personal Medicine with a doctor’s prescription if needed for emergency purposes
Smoking is allowed but is limited to designated areas
Avoid crowds on weekends and Philippines holiday
